In might 2018, Brian Chapman was appointed because the Chief data Officer (CIO) of eir. Brian joined eir through the acquisition of Meteor in 2005 and has control variety of senior IT roles  throughout the years. His role as CIO encompasses IT Strategy, Security, Transformation, design, Development and IT Operations functions. Brian holds a BEng in Telecommunications Engineering from port university, and a BA in Technology Management from the Institute of Technology.
